Barriers and Absorbers

E-A-R's TUFCOTE® barriers, foams and composites combine superior performance with exceptional durability to control airborne noise. They are designed for demanding environments. Applications include aircraft, trucks, boats, construction vehicles, enclosed equipment of all types, and duct and HVAC systems.

TUFCOTE foams are manufactured by our proprietary thin sheet casting process. These foams are available standard with a self facing or topped with polyester film, and can be customized with a wide variety of other facings, backings or reinforcements.

With our thin sheet casting process, we can economically bond TUFCOTE foams to damping and barrier materials right on the manufacturing line. The bonds are chemical, not adhesive, so the multi-function composites provide increased strength, environmental resistance or performance capabilities.
